today was good.
“friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: what! you too? i thought i was the only one.” - c.s. lewis
“you prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
this is the most beautiful season of my life.
and i love You, i love You, i love You…
on days you have literally no money…
it’s best to spend the evening with another friend who is equally as poor. dance around the kitchen to this song. watch ‘13 going on 30’ while eating home made cinnamon rolls, and then watch ‘i love you, man’ while eating your room mate’s pizza. frequently bring up the fact that both of you want a cigarette, but neither of you have any money.
here’s to sam, a quality friend.
(and also here’s to the hope that one day i will meet someone who loves bro time as much as i do.. who is within ten years of my own age. is that too much to ask? maybe? ok…i’ll settle for jesus and cinnamon rolls, it’s cool.)
halloween cookies, sleepy hollow, “fall” woodchuck, a warm fire, good friends.
a great week in october :
early morning beach walks.
lots of meals on a lovely porch at sunset.
praying over a soon to be famous friend.
i made pizza with one of my very best friends.
we ate lots of celery and pb.
baker’s dozen, fantastic mr fox, fro yo, and craft time. while sharing a blanket with carson. there is no better combo, i assure you.
(also not pictured but important to remember) black and milds on our porch, then a second round on thunder hill while singing songs and lookin’ at the stars.

sam turned twenty and it was beautiful.
my first trip to high point in about three months, and i’ve already forgotten how to get around.

i got to see one of my best friends, and i couldn’t be more thankful for her.
the start of october ;
i got real good at making pancakes.
banana pecan pie with caramel frosting. jenks’ apple pie. spiced cupcakes. biscuits and apple butter.
boone birthdays are always a dream.
